Difference between innie and outie labia9/16/2023 When people refer to an innie or outie vagina, they are typically referring to the labia majora and labia minora. The external genitalia consists of many parts, including the labia majora, mons pubis, labia minora, clitoris, and vestibule. The National Vulvodynia Association define the vulva as the outside of the female genitalia that helps protect the sexual organs, vagina, and urinary opening from infection. The distinction between the vagina and vulva is similar to that of the mouth and lips. These particular terms may be misleading, however, as they refer to the external genitalia, or the vulva, not the vagina. Understanding anatomy is an important part of learning about the differences between an innie and outie vagina.
